Celebrating his 65th anniversary, Godzilla has united with COMPLEXCON’s archetype, Takashi Murakami, and a beacon of youth — HUF, to bring you Godzilla Vs. Murakami Vs. HUF.
Godzilla first appeared in Toho's "Godzilla" (1954), a classic monster movie widely regarded a masterpiece. The work launched a monster franchise that expanded over 64 years with more than 30 films. Godzilla’s extensive history extends into timeless stories yet to be told. Today, we bring this fictional monster to life for fans and others alike to experience the enormous, the destructive, the prehistoric sea monster as he battles the astounding yet surprising, half man half amazing, Takashi Murakami.
The Ask:
Align a historical brand (Godzilla) with a relevant artist (Takashi Murakami) and a youth brand (HUF).
The Challenge:
A booth design to showcase the 3-way collaboration of Godzilla x Takashi Murakami x HUF, featuring a 10-feet tall Murakami mural, a HUF skate decks display wall, and a smoking, roaring 15-feet Godzilla.
The Solve:
Strategically allocating sections within a 10’ x 40’ booth space, non-traditional, two-sided viewing experience with a central walkway.
